You don’t have to be a registered charity to receive fruit from The Hidden Orchard. If you are an organisation that provides food relief as part of your activities, or you’d like a few boxes of fruit to give away, please contact us. We prefer the fruit to be distributed widely in the community and preferably to people who might not be able to access it otherwise.
The Hidden Orchard has provided fruit to:
- Food is Free laneway
- Second Bite
- Ballarat Community Health
- The Soup Bus
- Wendouree Neighbourhood House
- Salvation Army drop-in centre, Norman St Ballarat
Sometimes our harvests include ‘second’ grade fruit which is suitable for juicing or jam making. This is mostly given to the harvest pickers, so if some of your clients are interested in jam making, encourage them to register as volunteers.
We do not supply large quantities of fruit to individuals for their personal use or commercial gain as we are a not-for-profit organisation.
