Next Monday we are hosting our first Hidden Orchard Community Jam and Sauce Making Day. A chance to get together and preserve some of the Hidden Orchard harvest. No experience is necessary. We’ll be working together and it will be a great opportunity to share and learn new skills.
All the ingredients including fruit harvested during our Hidden Orchard harvests will be supplied. All you need to bring is $5 to help cover the cost of ingredients and venue hire, clean jars with metal lids suitable for jam (if you have them) and a small plate of food to share for lunch. If you have a favourite recipe using seasonal produce please bring it along too.
All participants can take home a share of the jam and sauce produced. Some of the preserves will be kept and offered for sale to the public as a way of keeping the costs down for future preserving days.
