We have some good news and some bad news…
The bad news is that we are pausing our 2020 harvest.
We will be hibernating for the next few weeks until the dust settles on COVID-19 and it is safe to resume harvests.
A lot of the fruit charities that we donate to are currently closed and we don’t want to pose any risk to the community, our (often elderly) tree owners, or to our wonderful volunteers and their families.
The good, nay INCREDIBLE, news?
We have harvested almost 2.5 TONNE of fruit already this season!!
This is almost double our last year’s total and the year is definitely not over.
It is also worth mentioning that this total does not include the damaged fruit collected and donated to animal sanctuaries, which often equals the amount of ‘good’ fruit.
Thank you to everyone that has attended a harvest this year.
This fruit has made a huge difference to the charities that we deliver to and the Ballarat community.
We hope that you are staying safe and well.
See you soon!
